Hi! 👋 I'm Yuna Lee, aspiring software engineer and data scientist.

I'm currently a senior studying computer science at USC, graduating in May 2018. Previously, I've assisted with computer vision research under USC Professor Fei Sha and taught as a course producer for CSCI 270 (Algorithms). This summer, I'll be joining Hulu as a data science intern.

Besides the tech stuff, some of the other things I enjoy include: cool data visualizations, graphic design, cooking, spontaneous exploration, watching Friends, logic puzzles, and crackers with cheese.

You can take a look at my resume here.

Experience

June 2018 - Aug 2018 Incoming Software Development Intern
Los Angeles, CA Hulu

Will be working on the Santa Monica data science team.

Feb 2017 - Aug 2017 Machine Learning Research Intern
Los Angeles, CA USC TEDS Lab, advised by Professor Fei Sha

Conducted research on computer vision problems-particularly, the usefulness of nosily labelled data and the noise tolerance of convolutional neural networks. Designed and implemented a codebase for experimentation using TensorFlow and Torch.

Aug 2016 - Aug 2017 CSCI 270 Course Producer
Los Angeles, CA USC Viterbi School of Engineering

Course title: Algorithms and the Theory of Computing. Taught students algorithm design techniques (dynamic programming, greedy algorithms, divide and conquer), runtime analysis, and computability theory. Held office hours weekly and led review sessions for groups of 40-50 students to reinforce course concepts.

Jan 2017 - May 2017 Robotics Lab Assistant
Los Angeles, CA USC Interaction Lab

Assisted with robotics software development for my major capstone project. Worked with ROS (Robot Operating System) to develop infrastructure for the deployment of a socially assistive robot. Designed and implemented an activity monitoring system using the Fitbit API in conjunction with a Node.js server and ROS's JSON API.
